ABOUT DENVER ACADEMY OF BALLET
The Premiere Ballet and Dance School of Denver
Denver Academy of Ballet was established in 2001 to offer the best technical training available to students interested in pursuing a career in dance and to those who simply wish to have fun. The Academy encourages technical skill, enjoyment, self-esteem, musicality and personal growth for all students.
From class size, to ballet technique, to the dedicated & experienced instructors, Denver Academy of Ballet offers an atmosphere of growth and learning through dance training for children and adults. OUR CLASSES
Join Our Dance Community
Denver Academy of Ballet has a fully leveled program for dancers of all ages. We offer ballet classes starting with Tiny Tots in Tutus through our advanced Ballet VIII as well as a full Contemporary program. With two performance opportunities each year your child will be able to shine on stage as well as in the studio. We also offer Adult Classes for Beginner and Intermediate Adults.
TINY TOTS IN TUTUS, BALLET/TAP, BALLET/JAZZ, PRE-BALLET
The early ballet education program is to introduce the language and style of ballet. It also prepares children for the more technical dance levels, as well as nurtures the learning of life and physical growth through music, art and movement.
BALLET I-VIII
In our leveled classes students will receive the highest level of classical ballet training. They will also learn stretching, strengthening, injury prevention, pointe work, variations, partnering and proper diet in these classes.
Boys Ballet is taught by Rob Kuykendall, award winning instructor for men of all ages.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE
Ballet provides a wonderful base for all styles of dance. We also offer a variety of other classes. Jazz uses the principals of dance learned in ballet classes. Jazz helps students gain confidence as they learn to move and strengthen their bodies with classic jazz movements. Lyrical is an expressive jazz class for students who like to move in a creative and musical way. The movement style is a combination of ballet technique mixed with modern and contemporary jazz. Contemporary teaches students to explore unique ways to move their body while building confidence and performance skills.
ADULT BALLET
Adult classes are offered in the beginning and intermediate levels so that, experienced or not, every age can fulfill their passion for dance.
